Ep 45: Resources!

Deepak's Newsletter: Ep 45

Happy November, everyone! 🍁

This month, I want to share an incredible source I came across, with high-quality FREE learning material from organizations like TedTalks, The NY Times, The Kennedy Center, etc!

My favorite has been Ted Ed, with short podcast-style videos on various topics of interest. These bite-sized learning resources are a great way to get inspired, take a break, or just browse for fun!

There are MANY more functional sites on the list. Free learning resources like Khan Academy or Science Buddies, which our teaching team regularly utilizes to reinforce concepts for our students.

That’s all this month! I want to keep these short and valuable for you.

On a personal note, residency is VERY busy, but oh-so rewarding. I’m currently working in pediatric medicine, and am fortunate to be a member of care-teams that provide high-quality, evidence-based medicine. Next month, I’m off to the obstetrics floor to help deliver babies! All very exciting.

Amidst the wild schedule, I’ve been fortunate to spend my days off with family. We celebrated Dia De Los Muertos, Halloween, and Diwali, all within the same week! I got to see Michael Kiwanuka and Brittney Howard at my favorite venue ever, the Greek Theater at UC Berkeley. We also got to see Banda MS at the Oakland Arena just yesterday.

All these events and proximity to family and close friends make me feel so fortunate and grateful. I use that gratitude as fuel to care for patients in our service.

Check out some of our fun photos here! (friend me on Facebook if we’re not already!)

I hope your November is jam-packed with learning, rest, and family time of your own!

See you all in December πŸ¦ƒ
