Ep. 39: Find Your Ikigai

Deepak's newsletter episode 39

Happy, almost May, everyone! 🪷

This week, I want to share a powerful Japanese philosophy called Ikigai.

Ikigai is a framework that can be used in helping students figure out what they’d like to study in college, or even young professionals figure out if they should change careers, or take a hobby more seriously.

Have a look here to see if what you’re doing is in line with YOUR ikigai :)

Importantly, we use ikigai to help guide our students in deciding a major for college, and which classes, extracurriculars, and summer projects in high school are in line with their long-term goals.

Many life decisions can be better understood by considering how they might impact your ikigai. If you’re interested in why I joined the operational side of the Air Force medical core, read my personal statement/application essay on my ikigai here.

That’s all this week! Apologies for this one coming out a day late, I’m abroad on a trip which I can’t wait to share next week!

Have an awesome weekend!
