Ep 10: Highly Effective People

Deepak's newsletter episode 10

Happy October, all! 🧙

This week, I want to share a wonderful paradigm I’ve/we’ve been experimenting with for the past few months.

I adapted these concepts from a book I read earlier this year called, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Franklin Covey.

Here are my takeaways:

  1. Schedule priorities instead of prioritizing your schedule

  2. Listen to others before trying to be heard

  3. Working effectively with others leads to EXPONENTIAL results

  4. Look for the common benefits

  5. Act, not react

  6. Predict consequences before pursuing the endeavor

  7. Every problem is an opportunity to enhance your system

We’re regularly implementing these paradigms within our personal lives and especially within our teaching team! We’re working hard to systematically incorporate this mindset into our lessons, test prep, homework help and people help—ie. shout out to our English Ninja, Brendan’s, Soft Skills Lab, in the making :)
